Explanation of the P2PE Technology

Is it a reasonable decision to use point-to-point encryption technology (P2PE)? P2PE allows transmitting payment card data in the encrypted format. What benefits can be obtained from it? There are two of the most significant ones. First, if you use P2PE, your application does not handle real card numbers, and consequently, your PCI scope is reduced. Second, P2PE provides you with the additional fraud protection mechanism, which will help you to prevent undesirable chargebacks.
