EMV technology helps to reach a new level of cardholder’s data protection but still there are places where the data can be stolen. So what is the point of replacing magnetic stripe cards with EMV ones?

At first EMV cards were developed and used in order to protect retail businesses from card forgery (it is much more difficult to forge EMV card in comparison with magnetic stripe card). It is not the only advantage of EMV cards, there are some more. What are they?
